📖 Yesterday our Montessori full day students finished reading "Matilda" as a class. This is their 2nd chapter book of the year. Before reading each day, Miss Krista & Miss Katie ask the students comprehension questions about what has been read so far. Today the class began watching Matilda the movie to see the book come to life, and really enjoyed it! Next up on the #Montessori reading list is Charlie and The Chocolate Factory!

Our Montessori Pre-K & Kindergarten students were getting the party started early this morning on Pajama Day! Their class party included decorating cookies, painting wooden nutcrackers, building with Legos, decorating cardboard gingerbread houses, playing in "sensory hot cocoa", building popsicle stick snowflakes, and making Christmas wreath bracelets. Looks like tons of hands-on, fine motor skill building fun!

"Reading Buddy" programs like ours benefit both the older & younger students by providing opportunities to become role models & mentors, enhancing confidence, developing social-emotional skills, improving literacy & listening skills, encouraging responsibility, & creating a stronger school community. #readingbuddies
