Congratulations to the SMS Future City team for their presentation of Mutahad, a city in Morocco 100 years in the future, at the regional Future City Engineering Competition this weekend.  As city designers and engineers, Ryan Zgoda, Allison Zelazo, Jordan Carlson, Adam Stafford, Elizabeth Van Patten, Zachary Luick, Ada Bastedo, and Mary Quinn worked to create an age-friendly city. They addressed issues older people have and engineered “innovative solutions which allow the elderly to remain active and independent.”  Twenty-six area teams displayed their cities and St. Mary’s did an excellent job with their formal presentation.
