In addition to praying together as a school this morning to mark the 3rd week of Advent, students in Mrs. Bishop's 2nd grade Religion class learned about Gaudete Sunday. Pink, or rose, is a color of joy, and we rejoice because our waiting is almost over! #LiturgicalColors

Our younger students love reading with their middle school reading buddies! 1st and 5th graders are pictured here. #ReadingBuddies #PeerMentors

Mrs. Whipple's 6th graders have been decking the halls with good deeds this Advent!

Miss Kerwin's 4th grade led us in the liturgy today at school Mass. Father Joe presided, and we recognized students for our Nov. virtue of generosity and the diocesan character award for service. #CharacterEd #virtues

Students came home with tickets today and they've also been mailed to all St. Mary's parishioners! Be sure to purchase yours before the 12/28 Early Bird Drawing deadline, and you could be $250 richer on New Year's Day! #SnowMeTheMoney #EarlyBird #GiftIdea #StockingStuffer

From caring for snails and garter snakes, to playing in the snow and practicing their reading with their 6th grade buddies, our Montessori students know how to have fun! "Play is the work of the child" after all! #montessori

Check out the cover of our 1995 school directory. The computers our students use look a bit different these days! #ThrowbackThursday #StMarys175

Taizé Prayer Service 7 PM Tonight!
St. Mary's Church
Taizé prayer is a meditative form of prayer. Through a peaceful environment and the repetition of musical phrases, the body and mind slow down enough to be able to listen to the voice of God that is deep within us all.

Text Scam: There is an unauthorized text circulating that claims to be from Fr. Tom Mahoney. DO NOT RESPOND, it is a scam. Please note, if our clergy had to reach you regarding an urgent matter, they would not text you.

Recently Montessori students completed work on the Liturgical Colors. They learned about the colors, their meanings, could 'dress the priest' to indicate the season, and arrange nomenclature cards. They also enjoyed visiting the sacristy to see the real chasubles worn for Mass!

Today we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe! In 1531, Our Lady appeared to St. Juan Diego, and left a miraculous image of herself on his tilma, or cloak.

On Friday Mrs. Wojtaszek's STREAM Group was busy mixing and measuring frosting ingredients, which they spread on "Mary" cookies to go along with the Immaculate Conception.

The countdown to Christmas continues! Our students came together for daily prayer again this morning as we await the birth of our Lord, and Mrs. D'Angelo lit the second Advent candle on our wreath. #ChristmasCountdown #Advent #Peace
