
REMINDER to all parents/guardians: today is an early dismissal day at 11:30 am, and there is no school tomorrow, Fri., Nov. 10th in observance of Veterans Day.


Mrs. Witkowski's 2nd grade science class had a special visitor today... Mr Witkowski! As a licensed drone pilot, he brought in one of his drones to take footage for the 2nd grade's upcoming topographic maps project. The students had a chance to fly, as well as race the drone!









New faces in the office today... meet our "principals for a day", Henry, Grayson, and Noah Valentine! The Valentine family won this experience for their students at last year's "Spring for Success" Auction Gala which celebrates St. Mary's Parish and helps support St. Mary School.


SMS students: help our 2nd grade adopt a Sea Turtle! A bake sale will be hosted in all lunches on Weds., Nov. 8th to fund their marine conservation efforts. If your student would like to purchase a treat in lunch tomorrow, please be sure to send them in with $1 or $2.

We had a visit from the Swormville Fire Company this morning! Students had a chance to tour the fire truck and learn about fire safety. The winners of the annual Fire Prevention Poster Contest were also announced, congrats to all of our talented artists! #fireprevention

Miss Reeves' 7th grade classes have been learning about the information on the Periodic Table and Atomic Theory. They took what they learned and made atomic models of different elements using Fruit Loops.

Miss Reeves 8th grade science classes are learning about diffusion. When they set up their lab they questioned why the "S" on the Skittles needed to be facing up - but once they covered them with water and waited a few minutes they figured out why 😉
