“The future starts today, not tomorrow.” - St. John Paul the Great
#MondayMotivation
Also known as Saint John Paul II, Catholics remember him as being the first non-Italian pope, forgiving his attacker after an assassination attempt, and being outspoken about human rights. St. John Paul the Great knew that every day was a chance to pave the way for a better future. With the mentality that the future starts now, you can live each day with new motivation to make life the best it can be, for you and the people around you.

We are so blessed to have Profe Maria as our new Spanish teacher here at St. Mary School! She sees all of our K-8 students, even our little ones in Montessori. She can be seen & heard all around the classrooms with her guitarra (guitar) & marionetas (puppets); Pepe the monkey and Sunshine the duck. Pepe has been helping the kindergarten class learn their colors in Spanish & when he’s done, he takes a nap in Profe Maria’s bag! 🐝🐒🦆

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to St. Mary's BREAKthrough "Stress Dump" on Monday, September 18th, 6:30-8 PM in the gym. BREAKthrough Youth Nights are an opportunity for Middle School through High School teens to grow in faith through games, interactive activities, prayer, food and conversation. Friends are welcome too! They do not have to belong to St. Mary's to join us!
Sign up is appreciated so we have enough snacks on hand: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f054caba72fa7fd0-breakthrough1#/

St. Mary School's swim season is underway! Practices have been going well and these swimming "Bees" can't wait for their first meet! Students as young as kindergarten can participate in sports at SMS. #gobees #smstheplacetobee 🐝💦🏊♀️🏊♂️

Mrs. Kotlik’s Kindergartners did a wonderful job helping their rubber duckies follow directions during a Math lesson. 🐥 The children had to help their duckies go above their friends’ heads, inside their seat sacks, beneath their tables, in between a pencil & a supply box & so much more using positional words. After that, they used magnifying glasses to help them describe where objects were at the beach. Great job, Kindergarten & rubber duckies! 🔎🐚🌊🐝🤍💙

The SMS JV Bees battled hard tonight but lost to St. John’s, moving to 2 and 1 on the season. It was a beautiful night for baseball though, and we even had 2 alums helping coach 3rd base!

Miss Reeves' middle school science students spent their classes today reviewing lab safety with a game. They're excited to get to work on lab activities soon!

K-8 students were treated to some music to start their morning today! Teachers from the Paul Effman School of Music showcased the various instruments that students have the opportunity to learn to play in the instrumental music program here at SMS.

Our campus was vibrant with all the colors of late summer today! SMS students are blessed with beautiful school grounds, including much lovely green space that they make use of often. 🌺🌸🌼🌳🐝 #flowerseverywhere #SMStheplacetoBEE

God of understanding, overwhelmed by the magnitude of this tragedy,
we seek your light and guidance as we confront such terrible events. Grant that those whose lives were spared may live so that the lives lost here may not have been lost in vain.
Comfort and console us, strengthen us in hope, and give us the wisdom and courage to work tirelessly for a world where true peace and love reign among nations and in the hearts of all.

Our Kindergarten Bees are off to an amazing start! They were all smiles after a fun week of getting used to their routine & making new friends at SMS! The children also did wonderful jobs presenting their "All About Me" bags & learning something new about their classmates! 🐝💙🤍
