Graduation Mass and Commencement for our St. Mary School Swormville Class of 2023 was held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at St. Mary's Church. Reverend Luke Uebler, III, presided and was assisted by Deacon Rick Stachura.
Members of the class participated in the liturgy as readers, cantors, and presenters of the Gifts. After Mass, Class Co-Presidents, Taylor Federowicz and Stanislas Ryskin, opened the graduation ceremony with reflective and inspiring speeches. Diplomas and subject awards were conferred upon the fourteen graduates and awards were also given for overall academic achievement and excellence, leadership, and the 3 C's-courage, commitment and character.
Special awards specific to St. Mary's are bestowed each year: Charism of Mary, Sister Sheila Anne Burke Memorial Award, and the Principal's Award.
The Class of 2023 is poised to succeed at both public and Catholic high schools in the fall: Canisius, St. Joseph Collegiate, Chesterton Academy, St. Mary's, Lancaster, Mount St. Mary Academy, Williamsville South, Williamsville East, Lockport, Lancaster and Clarence.
