Mrs. Kelly Kotlik is our Kindergarten teacher here at SMS. Believe it or not this is her 24th year teaching! She has taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, & 6th-8th grade Middle School Math, as well as Reading & Math AIS to K-6th grade students. She received her Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Potsdam, & her Master of Science from Niagara University. She’s certified to teach Elementary Education K-6, & Students with Disabilities in Grades 1-6. She also has a degree in Sociology & a concentration in Literacy.
Mrs. Kotlik’s husband is also a teacher, he teaches American History at Clarence High School. Their daughter is an alumni of St. Mary School & attends Clarence High School. Mrs. Kotlik’s hobbies include reading, gardening, vacationing in Cape Cod, & always spending time with her family & friends.
A few fun facts about Mrs. Kotlik: she was born in Houston, Texas, met her husband at Old Fort Niagara, & named her daughter after her two grandmothers! Her favorite foods/drinks are iced coffee, chicken parm, & watermelon.
Mrs. Kotlik says, “I always tell my students that I wanted to be an elementary teacher ever since I was in 2nd grade. It is the best job in the world, & I have been blessed to meet so many amazing children & families on this wonderful journey!”
