This Tuesday we are getting to know one of our new teachers, Miss Kirwan! Miss Kirwan is teaching 3rd grade this year, and we are so pleased that she has joined us here at SMS. Check out some of the interesting facts that she provided for us to get to know her better below!
Name: Aundrea Kirwan
Grades/Classes you teach at SMS: Grade 3
Experience: I previously taught at St. John the Baptist as the long term technology teacher, along with being a summer school teacher at BOCES. I received my undergraduate degree from Canisius College in childhood education and special education education grades 1-6. I am currently enrolled in the Masters program at Canisius University for my Advanced Special Education Degree.
Spouse/children/pets: I have one dog named Stitch :)
Hobbies/talents: In my free time, I play on a recreational kickball team with my friends and boyfriend and enjoy any outdoor activities with my dog.
Favorite food: Watermelon
Something you always tell your students: I always tell my students to “believe in your ‘yet’!”
Anything else you’d like people to know about you: A fun fact about me is that I can say the alphabet backwards!
