The results of the 2024 #SMSSnackElection are in.... after all votes were counted, GOLDFISH has won in a landslide victory, 98 votes to 43! Thank you to all of our staff & students who participated in this election event, & Mrs. D'Angelo for providing the goldfish snack for all!

This is an official #SMSSnackElection update.... as the vote counting continues we're starting to see Goldfish pull ahead of Pretzel with a slight lead. There are still critical, swing grades yet to be counted however & the race is too close to call. The official word will come tomorrow morning with a clear winner declared. #electionday2024

Grade 7 was hard at work in the SMS #Makerspace this morning as they began their "Thanksgiving Parade Floats" that will be featured in our Thanksgiving celebration in the gym on 11/26. We can't wait to see what they create! #thanksgiving #engineering #design

It's election day, and SMS students are learning about the voting process by casting a ballot for their favorite snack! Will you keep SMS salty and vote for pretzel? While the weather was a bit warmer last week, grade 1 got outside during Religion class for a lesson on caring for creation! The students enjoyed collecting leaves and other items from nature, then using them to make bookmarks. #careforcreation #FAITH # religion #grade1 #fall

Mr. Slish, St. Mary's Youth Minister, & Mr. Luckett, St. Mary's Catholic Schools Faith Formation Coordinator, visited the grade 5 class this week to share a lesson on the Saints and their relics. Mrs. Whipple's 6th graders rolled into Halloween today with a candy dice game! Thank you once again to all of the room parents' whose participation makes holiday parties even more special for our students.

Grades 3, 4 & 5 took over the cafeteria this afternoon for a Halloween bash! From candy corn math, to ghost lollipops, spooky science, & worms in dirt for a snack, we think it's safe to say they had a fa-BOO-lous time! #grade3 #grade4 #grade5 #halloweenparty

Mrs. Laderer's class took on an escape room today. Our fifth graders worked endlessly to solve multiplication problems in order to escape from the zombies! We may have run out of time, but we still had loads of fun!
