Mrs. Laderer's class took on an escape room today. Our fifth graders worked endlessly to solve multiplication problems in order to escape from the zombies! We may have run out of time, but we still had loads of fun!

Mrs. Baker's 4th graders are learning what it takes to be on the campaign trail while lobbying for a class pet! They held a debate today & answered questions from classmates about why their pet candidate is the best. Voting will take place this Tuesday on Election Day, and the candidates are as follows: painted turtle, guinea pig, goldfish, or bunny. Which pet would get your vote?

Mrs. Hammond's grade 6 Spanish students had a chance to share their "vacation plans" today. They researched fun activities in a Spanish speaking country of their choice, then used the Spanish they've learned to talk about the weather & seasons, dates, time, & days of the week to make a presentation of their travel itinerary. #spanish #middleschool #foreignlanguage #travel







Mrs. Laderer's 5th graders have been enjoying some class time outside recently! They needed to get outside and use the whole class to assist in order to create a life size model of the world's largest crocodile, which was 40 feet long! #math #measurement #grade5 #getoutside

Reminder - tomorrow is Red Ribbon Day! ❤️ Students may dress in red shirts & socks with their uniforms in support of Red Ribbon Week, the nation's largest and longest-running drug-use prevention campaign. Students do not need to pay to participate in this special dress day.



Last week students in grades 1-5 learned about care for creation, one of the principles of Catholic social teaching. The 2nd graders reflected on their favorite part of creation, while our 4th graders made leaf etchings and included a Bible quote about God's creation. #FAITH

It was a busy last Friday night at SMS! Our families came out in costume for #TrunkorTreat then many stayed to watch the Girls' Varsity #Volleyball team battle in their last doubleheader home game of the season.
