Fall sports are going swimmingly! 💦🏊🏼♂️Our combined St. Mary's/Nativity/St. John's swim team had their first meet today, & everyone was happy to be back in the water. Students as young as Kindergarten can join the swim team at SMS. #swimming #rocktheblocks #youthsports
St. Mary's students from Pre-K through grade 8 enjoy time outside each day on our beautiful playground for recess. Sometimes they even discover some creature friends, in this case a toad! 🐸🛝
We have active Boy Scout, Girl Scout, Cub Scout, Daisy & Brownie troops here at SMS! A few weeks ago these Girl Scouts took a trip to the Buffalo Zoo to learn about the variety of animals there, including the ocelot that they adopted! #scouting #girlscouts

The funds donated to Catholic Charities were raised through our annual Pray & Play event held during Lent, in which grade 5 puts on the Living Stations of the Cross for the "Pray" portion, and Grade 7 creates homemade carnival games for all of our students to pay to participate in for the "Play" portion of the evening.

We introduced our new Faith Families today! Our entire student body was sorted out into groups, each represented by a Saint and led by one of our teachers. These mixed-grade-level Faith Families will sit together at Friday school Mass, take turns leading the liturgy, and work together for special projects and events like Catholic Schools Week, Spirit Week & our end of year HSA Picnic. Who knows, they may even get into a little friendly competition... 😉

Mrs. Witkowski's grade 3, 4 & 5 science students got the year started with a bounce!🥚They performed "bouncy egg experiments" to study #chemicalreactions, & the parts of an egg. By soaking an egg in vinegar the eggshell dissolves, leaving just the membrane. #scienceisfun
