Yesterday afternoon "Team Dolan" & "Team Crouch" faced off in a friendly game of basketball in the SMS gym. Middle school families had the opportunity to bid on this unique teacher experience in the recent Spring for Success online silent auction.
On Team Dolan, Jackson (16 points), Brayden C. (12 points), and Mr. Dolan (10 points) all hit three pointers during the game, while Jack (4 points) & Henry (6 points) also contributed to the final score.
Team Crouch battled back with the following point totals: Noah (4 points), Brendan (8 points), Michael (6 points), Aiden (4 points), & Mr. Crouch (10 points) .
Team Dolan declared victory in the end - 48-32. Sammy and Braeden B. were the referees & called a great game! A special thank you goes out to the Sendlak & Valentine families who won these experiences for their students & their friends! 🏀🏆

Yesterday evening several SMS students & their families, along with Mrs. Genovese & Mrs. D'Angelo attended the Diocese of Buffalo's Character Award Mass held at St. Amelia Church in Tonawanda. Students who received diocesan character awards throughout this school year, as well as Golden Apple teachers were honored. Bishop Michael W. Fisher celebrated Mass, and refreshments were available afterwards. Congratulations to Mrs. Genovese who was one of just 3 Golden Apple teachers named throughout the diocese, and to all of our character award winning students! #goldenapple #characterED #catholicschools #SMStheplacetoBEE
Due to the massive rainstorm this afternoon we need to postpone the Knights of Columbia penalty kick shoot out to this Thursday 5/30 at 3pm. Students 9 and up may participate.
SMS students observed #MemorialDay by learning about the holiday's origins, donating to the "K9s for Warriors" cause in order to dress down in patriotic colors, & by saying morning prayer & the pledge of allegiance as a school around the flagpole today. #GodBlessAmerica
