A number of SMS students were recognized yesterday after Mass for exhibiting our virtue of the month for April - fortitude. The March and April Diocesan Character awards were also given out to students who have displayed the traits of sacrifice and problem solving, respectively. Students were treated to a familiar face at Mass this morning for the feast of the Ascension - Fr. Bryan Zielenieski! After a generous dousing with Holy Water, Grade 5 led us in the liturgy, and there was even a surprise guest appearance by "Captain Disciple". Fr. Bryan's message for us today was to look forward not back, to focus on the special mission that God has for each one of us, and know that all things are possible through Jesus. #schoolMass #AscensionThursday
