Our Montessori Pre-K & Kindergarten students were getting the party started early this morning on Pajama Day! Their class party included decorating cookies, painting wooden nutcrackers, building with Legos, decorating cardboard gingerbread houses, playing in "sensory hot cocoa", building popsicle stick snowflakes, and making Christmas wreath bracelets. Looks like tons of hands-on, fine motor skill building fun!

Mrs. Laderer's 5th graders read about the life cycle of a #ChristmasTree today. They created wheels to explain the sequence of events, & learned it takes 6-8 years for one to grow. Students were able to infer that's why Christmas trees can cost so much! #grade5 #knowledge
The #BuffaloSabres brought their #StudentsOfTheGame program to SMS today! This initiative aims to incorporate floor hockey into PE for grades 2-4, and teach this age level all about the sport . The students played fun & exciting games & each received a complimentary Sabres ticket & t-shirt!. Thank you Mr. Reeds for bringing this program to SMS!

🏀 The SMS/NBVM JV Boys fell 25 to 21 against St. John the Baptist last Saturday. Playing hard in all aspects, they trailed early but closed the gap to a tie late in the 2nd half. Grayson V. had 5 rebounds & David M. had 3 steals, while Josh Z. led scorers with 10 points.
🏀 The St. Mary's/NativityVarsity Girls played in their first #basketball game of the season last night against St. Amelia’s. Although they didn't come out with a win, all the girls contributed on defense & on offense by scoring or with an assist! #wintersports #girlsinsports
