🏀 The SMS/NBVM JV Boys Basketball team lost a heartbreaker to Nardin today, 21-17. The game was tied with under 5 minutes to go. Despite the loss, the team showed marked improvement in their 2nd game of the season. Will K. & Joe M. led in scoring combining for 10 points. The defense played stout in the first half, with Brayden M., Daniel W., & David M. getting steals. Grayson V. owned the boards getting 4 rebounds while also drawing multiple shooting fouls. Adding to the rebounds were Jack D., Eli Z. & Leo K. Liam R. played shutdown defense, not allowing his matchup to get the ball. David R. led the team with assists finding open teammates for scoring chances.

In only their second game playing together, the team was well balanced: Mia G. (NVBM) led with 6 points, while Milania M. (NVBM), Alexa Z. (NVBM), & Elyse R. (SMS) contributed 4 points each, & Kaitlyn M. (SMS) and Lucy C. (SMS) each contributed 2 points. Lizzie T. contributed by playing great defense. Congrats ladies!
